Wood Accents: Adding various wood accents is a great way to bring some farmhouse elements into your home. To take it a step further, incorporate pieces with additional scuffs and scrapes for a more rustic feel.
Bead Board: This is a pretty inexpensive way to add some farmhouse to your home. Bead board can typically be picked up at your local Home Depot or Lowes and installed as an accent piece on any wall.
Butcher Block: Wood counter tops is one of the ultimate farmhouse styles. Changing out your counter tops can be a big commitment but if you are looking for the ultimate rustic look this is the way to do it.

Farmhouse Table: Large, beat up and well loved tables for family gatherings are the epitome of a farmhouse. For the DIYer this can be a very fun and rewarding project.
Mix and Match Style: The beauty of a farmhouse is how simple it is. There wan’t any fussy fabric or high end decor. Most items were often handmade and passed down from families. This allowed for a lot of mixing and matching of throws, rugs and decor items.
